Create a business account
Sign up and get test keys straight away. Build your integration against test numbers that return sample results at no cost.

Verify your business
Upload your CAC documents. We review within 1–2 working days, then you can create live keys.

Fund and go live
Fund your wallet by bank transfer and switch to your live key. Each check is charged as it runs; failed checks are refunded.
For developers
One HTTPS request with your API key. Test keys return sample results for free, so you can build before you go live. Full details are in the API documentation.

What is a KYC API?+
A KYC (know your customer) API lets your app verify a customer’s identity automatically. With Verity you check their NIN or BVN and, for stronger assurance, match a live selfie to the photo on that record.
How do I get an API key?+
Create a Verity business account and open the Developers page. Test keys are available immediately; live keys are available once your business is verified.
How is the API priced?+
Pay as you go from a prepaid wallet: NIN ₦150.00, BVN ₦150.00, face match ₦400.00 per check. There are no monthly fees, failed checks are refunded, and we offer agreed rates for higher volumes.
Do you support webhooks?+
Yes. Verification links send verification.completed, verification.failed and verification.expired events to your URL, signed with HMAC-SHA256 and retried for about a day if your server doesn’t answer.
Can I use it from a mobile app?+
Call the API from your server, never directly from the app, so your key stays secret. For selfies, open a verification link in your app’s web view; it works in React Native and Expo without an SDK.
How do you handle customer data?+
Data is sent over HTTPS, API keys can be locked to your server IPs, and selfies and ID photos are deleted after 30 days. Our Data Processing Agreement covers our duties under the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
